Louis Vuitton has launched a game as part of its founder's birthday celebrations
Marking what would have been his 200th birthday with a fun Vivienne game featuring NFTS (non fungible digital tokens) The digital artist Beeple has created 10 non-fungible tokens which have been embedded into the game. At a very high level, most NFTs are part of the Ethereum blockchain. Ethereum is a cryptocurrency, like bitcoin or dogecoin. The game is available to download free of charge on android, the apple app store and Google play.
As players move through different levels, banners for NFTs pop up and gamers will have a chance to acquire them, after which they are stocked in a digital wallet (locked until 2022). It's not yet clear if they will be of any value.
The game will follow the journey of the fashion brand’s mascot Vivienne to Paris and feature 30 non-fungible tokens (NFT) to be collected by players along the way, ten of which were designed by digital artist Beeple. The NFTs are collectible but not for sale.
The main character of the game is Vivienne, the LV mascot, who is on a quest to find 200 birthday candles for Louis Vuittons 200th birthday. In each adventure, in the search for each candle, there is a story about the fashion house
Louis Vuitton is also celebrating 200 years of its founder with a new novel and Apple TV series called 'Looking for Louis'.
