SHIPPING

Shipping in the Republic of Ireland is €8.00 for all orders under €300.

For items valued at €150 or over items are tracked and insured. 

For designer bags and items over €300, shipping is complimentary.

All items are fully insured. We ship within 1-3 days of your order being placed. Orders are shipped Monday-Friday only. 

Complimentary local delivery is available in North County Dublin.

Please note we do not ship on bank holidays or public holidays.

For overseas shipping within Europe, please contact us directly for a price with your location. 

 

PACKAGING

All orders are carefully packaged using tissue paper and several layers of padding to protect your purchase.

To help the environment, we sometimes reuse and repurpose cardboard packaging when dispatching and packaging orders to avoid waste. If this is not suitable, please inform us at the time of checkout. 

Unless the the individual listing specifies - items do not come with original dust bags. 

RETURNS

All products sent to Legacy Handbags for refund or return under warranty are made pursuant to a shipment contract. Prior to Legacy Handbags receiving such products the risk of loss and title for such products remains with the Customer. Items being returned must be insured and sent back to us by registered post.

All returned Products may be subject to an authentication test and any lack of authenticity verified before any refund can be issued. All serial numbers and date codes on returned items will be checked on arrival. Legacy Handbags does not accept the following as a guarantee of lack of authenticity of the Product: certificates from third-party authentication websites, persons or groups. Returned Products should contain all items included in the original product purchase, to include: dust bags, original branded boxes, authenticity cards, and padlock with keys in the case of Louis Vuitton bags. 

RETURNS

Please take the time to examine all photos carefully before you buy as all sales are final. This does not affect your statutory rights as a buyer.

Most items are not brand new items. Please be mindful that these are nearly new or vintage pieces that have led a previous life, and may tell its story through minor imperfections. Purchasing these item continues its narrative, so you can be confident that you’re making a POSITIVELY CONSCIOUS choice for the planet.

If you wish to return a faulty item, we must be notified of any returns within 48 hours of you receiving the item. Returns are accepted within 14 days but must be approved in advance by us, and you must state the reason for the return.

If you are unhappy for any reason, please contact us immediately and we will endeavour to resolve the issue in a timely manner. If you are unhappy with your item as per The Sale of Goods & Supply of Services Act 1980, we may choose offer you either a refund, repair or replacement subject to availability. 

AUTHENTICITY

Counterfeit, Unauthenticated, or Stolen Items

You agree that all items given to Legacy Handbags are not counterfeit, not stolen property and are your own personal items.

You understand that Legacy Handbags will cooperate with all investigations regarding claims for any items given to us that are counterfeit or stolen.

We pride ourselves on only selling 100% authentic designer items.  If any item submitted that is found to be a counterfeit, or not authentic, then the seller will be charged the full authentication fee.  

LIABILITY

Legacy Handbags is not affiliated or a licensed partner of the brands we sell, however we do guarantee the authenticity of all our items.

If an item is not 100% authentic, we will issue you a full refund on return of the item as long as the item is in the same condition as when it was sold.

Legacy Handbags is an independent luxury designer resale business, and as such we are not affiliated with any designers. Every effort is made to ensure that all information is accurate at time of publishing on our website.

The individual or company who has retained Legacy Handbags to provide a written opinion holds Legacy Handbags harmless for any opinions expressed. Legacy Handbags cannot be held liable for any loss resulting from opinions expressed, market valuations or written authentications.

No two handbags will wear the exact same way, therefore, it is natural that valuations may differ due to: the condition of the item, odours or smells such as perfume or smoke, wear and tear of the item, markings such as pen marks, stains to the inner lining, broken or missing parts (such as missing inner pochette/padlock or broken zip) missing or incomplete serial numbers or date codes, repairs or modifications carried out by other repairers, absence of original receipts, dustbags, authenticity cards, original packaging/boxes and provenance of the item. All of these factors combined are reflected in the valuation and appraisal of the piece or pieces. 

 THE SELLERS AND/OR LEGACY HANDBAGS LIABILITY

Neither Legacy Handbags nor the Seller are liable (whether in negligence or otherwise) for any error or misdescription or omission in any description of an item or any estimate in respect of it, whether contained on the website or otherwise, whether given orally or in writing and whether given before or during the sale.

Neither we nor the Seller will be liable for any loss of business, profits, revenue or income, or for loss of reputation, or for disruption to business or wasted time on the part of management or staff, or for indirect losses or consequential damages of any kind, irrespective in any case of the nature, volume or source of the loss or damage alleged to be suffered, and irrespective of whether the said loss or damage is caused by or claimed in respect of any negligence, other tort, breach of contract (if any) or statutory duty, restitutionary claim or otherwise.

LEGACY HANDBAGS WILL NOT BE HELD  LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES FOR ANY LOST BUSINESS, LOST PROFITS, LOST SAVINGS, LOST REVENUE, OR ANY INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
